Let Your Joy
Lead You to Healing
What are your joys? Gardening, traveling, singing, playing the piano? Mine include yoga, dancing, and music. Yoga is not only a joy for me; it is one of my self-healing practices, along with meditation and play. Spending time each day in one, if not more, of our joys is where healing often occurs.

LETTERING
BACKGROUND...
By following my initial dream of “Universal Love” and my early love of letters, I was led to pursue the art of lettering, or "calligraphy." I had actually been engraving, a form of calligraphy I adapted onto metal and glass, for several years before I even knew what the word meant. I learned in 1984 that calligraphy means “the art of beautiful handwriting.”
I had been working with my mother engraving and selling jewelry at local malls and arts and crafts shows since 1975, and I decided I wanted to improve my lettering skills. So I began taking classes, which I continued to do for the next ten years. I was fortunate to find a Master Calligrapher instructor who taught me invaluable tools and techniques about color, design and lettering. As a result of this schooling, along with LOTS of practice, patience and persistence, my calligraphy and engraving skills greatly improved over the next several years. Although I have done my share of lettering on certificates, wedding invitations, business cards, etc., I prefer the engraving side of calligraphy.
Most of my work today consists of hand engraving onto small and unusually shaped items, such as the inside of rings, lockets, pocket watches, etc. I am extremely fortunate, and deeply grateful, for the referral customers I receive on a regular basis from area businesses, like trophy stores, jewelers and other engraving establishments.

On the following pages you will find samples of items that I have engraved for customers, most of whom are sent to me from local businesses. I also have a small assortment of gift items for sale, along with copies of my artwork and poetry. I plan to add more items each month, so check back from time to time.
Please call me, (810) 232-1628 or leave me an e-mail message, if you have an item that is considered too small, expensive or unusually shaped for other engravers to accommodate.
